Christopher Arndt and Brandon Peat are both from Elkhart, Indiana, and have been the best of friends ever since they met in kindergarten. The fact that they lived three houses down from each other meant frequent collaboration on the ideas that led to The War of Eternity series, ideas that began around 1995 when the two were in fifth grade.

It took around eleven years for these ideas to coalesce into the finished form of the first book, Prelude. But Christopher and Brandon think that 22 is still a pretty good age at which to finish a full-length novel.
