A name now held largely in contempt, the Metron first became known when Lord Ronin, a representative from beyond the Nebulan Fringe, established diplomatic contact with the League. He claimed the region beyond the Nebulan border as Metron space, but little is known about the Metron other than scattered military reports. Nothing is known of their method of government, societal structure, or ideology. However, they are known to make heavy use of automation, and are almost fanatical in defense of member colonies. Their technology is, in several cases, superior to that of the League’s. It is unconfirmed as to whether or not Ronin is an example of a Metron species, or if they have a dominant or founding species at all. Other than the mixed dignity, depravity, and sincerity of their leader, nothing is definitively known of the Metron.
