HOMEWORLD: TEMR
Temri are a peculiar species, most commonly known for exotic food (particularly Temri Slug Rolls). Often, those who visit their homeworld of Temr believe humanoids to be the indigenous population, but these are actually descendants of entreprenuers seeking profit in exporting Temri cuisine. The Temri themselves are a gelatinous, slime-based species unique in all of Aesgar. Though they are intelligent, Temri generally shun technology and tend to remain largely unassuming to humanoid eyes, staying in collective pools of their own kind. In fact, these pools have opened Temr as a tourist attraction: off-worlders find the vast lakes and gentle rivers (which occassionally seem to float in large nebulous clouds) of luminous slime fascinating and beautiful. Rumors have arisen that Temri slime is also good for the skin, but the mysterious disappearance of slime harvesters has largely extinguished the theory – though some adventurous souls continue to tempt fate. Despite their docile nature, Temri can converse with humanoids through a form of telepathy; they can also be extremely dangerous if provoked. Virtually all revenue from Temr’s food export business goes to entreprenuers, rather than the native Temri who developed the cuisine – yet they seem to care little that they and their world are being exploited, and simply enjoy the good cooking (as far as their tastes are concerned).
