TERRESTRIAL (TEMPERATE, FORESTS)

At one time, Isos was said to be the stepping stone to the untamed Nebulan Fringe. A centrally located world with a fair climate and rich in resources, Isos drew colonists in droves. But three years before the Battle of Aquias and the subsequent Metron conflict, an unknown force crossed into Nebulan territory and assaulted Isos, killing over thirty thousand people and leaving no survivors. The savagery of the invaders and the carnage they wrought struck such fear in the Nebulan Fringe region that colonization ceased entirely; military operations continued, however. The matter was investigated by the League, and no definitive answer could be made other than the possibility of raiders beyond Nebulan territory. Despite a lack of evidence against any party, this incident began a period of aggressive Nebulan expansion into the Fringe. It also marked a beginning of guerilla wars in the region, and a number of purported atrocities on both sides of the border.
