TERRESTRIAL (TROPICAL, FORESTS)

Shi’an was once an important Coreward waypoint for Elan tribes. Its lush and largely docile environment made it a relative safe haven for Elan and others to rest, and often attracted adventurous tourists with its natural beauty. That changed in 2612, when the last of the free Elan fighting the Nebulans surrendered at this world. Kardak Raegen, the Nebulan overseeing the war and the surrender, herded the remaining Elan into camps across the surface. Enforcing a quota of acceptable Elan population, Kardak bombarded virtually all the camps out of existence, killing tens of thousands. Today Shi’an is no longer synonymous with adventure and beauty, but massacre and injustice. The planet is quarantined, and no civilians are generally allowed entry. Many of the scars of Kardak’s cruelty remain despite government attempts to restore the ecosystem to its prior glory.
