TERRESTRIAL (ARID, ROCKY)

Udanl is not at first glance a hospitable place. It is largely a barren rock, save for some geological activity and violent wind storms, located just beyond the Nebulan Fringe border. Yet this activity produces remarkable natural sights throughout the day. Adding to the intervals of natural beauty is the incredible automation the world possesses and its warm and welcoming citizens. As Fringe world, it is a tourist attraction for other nearby systems.

Bene is the capital city of Udanl, estimated to have a sedentary population of 70,000, not including temporary residents and others passing through. Most of the economic activity in the city and planet revolves around mining, though to where they export the raw materials is unknown. Other than stories of the citizen’s welcoming personalities and hard work, and many areas built to enhance the breathtaking views, nothing else is officially known.

Smuggler groups have gossiped about an enormous underground factory beneath Bene. What seems peculiar about these stories is the supposedly high degree of precision put into the design and construction – which is said to have been extremely recent, perhaps within three years. League officials have no comment on such stories, citing a lack of evidence, although they do theorize that these rumored factories are likely little more than ore processing centers or the extraction facilities themselves.
