TERRESTRIAL (TEMPERATE, URBAN)

Mileos was the neutral site at which the First League Conference was held. Admiral Targis Bulloc of Terra Nova, General Cabal Raegen of Nebulus, and Baron Dean Astyr of Graedius chose this unassuming planet for its nearness to the Durson system and its relative unbiased nature in the galactic eye. Here they hoped to forge the League, based on their companionship that not only brought the Durson War to a close but also kept it from escalating to a galactic war. Unfortunately, the colony suffered a catastrophic failure in its main power core, resulting in the destruction of most of the settlement and evacuation of the conference. This allowed politicians to step in, take control of the drafted League, and eventually create a modified version of the original charter. Many now see the destruction of Mileos and failure of the First Conference as a key factor in the events leading to the current Metron conflict. Conspiracy theorists often cite the mysterious circumstances and convenient timing of the explosion as evidence of government interference in an otherwise non-political unification process. Such theories are scoffed at, and the two remaining members of the three leaders at the first Conference – Bulloc and Raegen – have remained silent on the matter. Three million Terra Nova citizens were killed in the colony’s destruction.
